The course includes 7 hours of training: a 2-hour initial session followed by five 1-hour sessions, scheduled about a week apart. The training can address areas such as basic handling, setting boundaries, and managing behaviors like nuisance barking, jumping, and door dashing. Additionally, it can include leash manners to teach dogs to walk calmly beside the handler and reduce reactivity to dogs, people, or vehicles, with the goal of preparing for public outings and dog-friendly patios.
